So I'm praying to God that the year 2011 brings good fortune and health. We have been through so much in the last couple of years and I just need it all to be over! I need 2011 to bring me health and weight loss, financial stability and peace. I'm tired...period! We need to finally be happy, we deserve to be happy! I deserve to be happy!
So I do not know what the future holds for me and my family. Will my hair grow back? Will I have surgery? Will I get to have another baby? Will I continue to suffer from PCOS and will I continue to take medication that makes me sick? Will we be moving? Will Larken learn her Abc's? Will I ever sleep like a normal person? Will we be looking for a new church? So many unaswered questions. I hate the unknown. Does everyone else live like this? Fearing the unknown on a daily basis?

It is snowing outside and it is so peaceful! The silence of falling snow, its like nothing else in the world. Indescribably beautiful!

Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone,We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family in Missouri. It snowed! It made my day! However it was not snowing back home so that was a big dissapointment.

Ed and I made green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. It was so nice being able to use a large kitchen because the one here at home is so small that only one person fits in at a time. Its so small, that you have to leave the room to change your mind! Hehe!

So Larken got a "Time Out"...

Larken got a time out in school yesterday because she said "HaHa, you got put in time-out!" to another kid. I asked her why she did it and she burst into tears. It was so sad. She was obviously sorry for disappointing me or was it because she got caught? I don't know but either way it broke my heart to have to discipline her.

Freezer Meals/Once A Month Cooking/Bulk Cooking...

I've decided to give freezer cooking another go! If you are not familiar with It, google freezer cooking/OAMC/bulk cooking. Essentially you plan out several meals, take an entire day to make and assemble them and then you freeze them. So you just pull it out of the freezer when you need a meal. By doing this you can eliminate chemicals and by products and fillers. Its all made from scratch and you know what's in it. I have only done this twice before and I only cooked for a weeks worth of food. This time I'm going to try and see if I can get a whole months worth in my side by side freezer/fridge. I am hoping to post the recipes I use that turn out.

It's CRUNCH Time!

So I have my garage sale on Saturday and today I had a notice posted on my door from the city. It stated there was to be a "Sewer Cleaning" done on the 16th. It also stated that I may have sewer gas smell, gurgling toilets, water spraying from drains or toilets and that I should cover my toilet with a towel and to put something heavy on my floor drain. What in the world? All I can envision is some sort of bad SciFi movie where my toilet turns in to a geyser! I have also been experiencing gallbladder problems. I won't go into detail but I will say that I am going to need to use my toilet! What am I going to do? What if the geyser happens while I'm on the toilet? Anyway I do not have time for this. This is a citywide sale so you would think that the city would take that into account when scheduling such a thing.

Ok, if that wasn't bad enough on the very same day I get a Jury summons! I have had at least 5 of these summons in the last 8 years. You cannot tell me that there aren't that many people in the county that my name keeps popping up! I am a Stay At Home Mom! I am the only child care for my child! Shouldn't they check that information before they demand you show up or have you arrested?

It has been a long time since I have posted on this site! I'm not doing a very good job in keeping you up to date with all our new information. I promise to have some photos up soon. What happened was our computer took decided to take a vacation and never came back...if you know what I mean. So I have to use my very, very, old laptop computer and it takes a long time to get anything loaded on it. Anyway...I promise soon I will have a bunch of new interesting stuff posted.

Where did my sweet baby go?

Terrible 2's have nothing on the dreaded 3's!!!! My beautiful little girl is driving me NUTS!! She has started screaming, not just being loud but Blood Curdling screams like she slammed her head in the fridge or car door kinda screams. She ignores me when I tell her not to do something and laughs when I try to put her in time out. What is going on? And the whinning...really? Give me a break and tell me this isn't going to last long.
On a happier note I think I can say we are almost 100% potty trained. I guess we are at maybe 98%. She even is getting up to go pee in the middle of the night. Yay!

My daughter is turning 3 on September 5th! She is growing up so quickly. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. I love every minute of being at home with her everyday. She is turning into quite the comedian. My mother (her Mamaw) was in the car with us today and my mom was trying to get her to sing. My mom said somthing to the effect of "What, you don't like my singing?" She looked at Larken and she was just shaking her head from side to side (motioning no!) my mom and I almost peed our pants laughing. What can you expect from a child who has "Theater Blood" running through her veins. I've got pictures I want to post as soon as I get them loaded onto the computer.

I was asked by my Pastor if I would like to sing a little song at church on Father's Day. I have said yes. For those of you that know me, I am a behind the scenes kinda girl. I love being in the choir, being hidden, being one with a group. I can hide my insecurities that way, and if I screw up the words or sing the wrong notes no one will no it's me. However coming out of the choir and into the spotlight is something that I have wanted to do/try for a long time. So I asked Pastor B to keep me in mind if he had any openings coming up in the services so that I may sing a song and get my feet wet. I haven't sung solo since...well at least 3-4 years ago when I was doing Theater Open Mic at The Waterhouse in downtown Peoria. Now my husband still gets to go and do that, but I have to stay home with the kid. Anyway, I am jumping in and with the grace of God he will not let me fall. Thank you Pastor B. for this opportunity, I hope I do a well enough job that you ask me back again to sing. God has put a desire into my heart and it is for him that I sing. I think I am good, but maybe just good enough for the shower. I don't know. Just wait and see!

Hey remember me? I've been away for a really long time. Family issues like my grandpa passing, my father in-law passing, my grandma being put in the hospital, turning 35 and much much more! 2009..what have you done to me?
I have been driving my hubby back and forth to work because his car is dead and I cannot be at home with a 2 year old and not have an escape vehicle. Not to leave her at home or anything, but so that we can get to the store or just to get out of the house. Anyway, this morning I was getting her out of the car seat and I had a tickle on my leg, I scratched the tickle with my other leg and got stung by a wasp! Ouch! I mean seriously?
But...it is spring and I need to join the world again. So stay tuned for updated pictures of my beautiful little girl and my fur babies. I'll be back soon!

Wow, I am drained! I have been spending a lot of time getting ready for my "Get A Jump On Your Jingle" Stamp Camp and now I think I have decided to cancel it. I just don't know what to do. With today's economy and our current financial situation, I'm not sure if it would be beneficial for me to go ahead. I have prayed about it but I guess I'm just getting a busy signal. It takes so much time to get everything prepped, get everything designed and then hope that people will come. If I only had room in my house I could have it here and it would be no problem. But anyway.
I was able to get my dining room table cleaned off today! Jump up and down! I know, can you believe it. I don't think I have seen the top of my table in months. Now it is all pretty, it was decorated before with fall stuff but got buried when I decided to have a garage sale and then I decided not to have a garage sale. I seem to be rather fickle these days. Kinda like having another baby. We are putting it on hold until my lovely husband can get a better job. So he had better hurry up and get one before my eggs all shrivel up and I'm too old. Speaking of jobs, my husband said that maybe I should go back to work. I had a good laugh with that one. Who in the world is going to hire me? I have been out of work for at least 3 years and I am a mother and where am I going to find a job that offers free childcare? Yes, I may live next door to my mother but she has probably only watched Larken 7 times since she has been born. I have to find something though. Not having money is killing me! I need it, I want it and I crave it! Is that wrong? Whoever said money does not make you happy has never been poor or in debt up to your hair roots! Now my friend Sherise, God Bless her, took a crazy job that like starts at 4am or something like that. She has a drive that I somehow don't seem to have anymore. I wish I were more like her. I don't know how she does it. Sherise, if you are reading this I miss you and Chad and Lily dearly! If gas prices keep going down hopefully we can come to church in Bloomington.

Fall

Oh how I love the fall! I have had my decorations out for a while now and I am loving every minute of them. However...I did get out my Christmas china today. Don't throw things at your screen, it will break. I know, I know. Kinda early, but as most of you know I decorate early for Christmas, exactly 12:00am November 1st! I sneak outside pull up the Halloween door mat and stick my Merry Christmas door mat in its place. I put the faux wreath on the door and switch the door bell to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"! Now if my husband co-operates all of my trees will be down early this year so I can have them up and ready before my lovely daughter gets out of bed the next day. Let's keep our fingers crossed that she doesn't pull all of my glass ornaments off of the tree this year. Oooh, this post was supposed to be about fall. Ok..Ok..back to the topic at hand, oh how I love fall! I love the rustling of leaves as the children walk through them on the way to school, I love bonfires and S'mores, I love the smell of the leaves and burning wood from the fire places, I love the general feel that you get from being all bundled up in your favorite sweater or how you get to come home and put on your comfy sweats or jammies. Did you know that most babies are conceived in the Fall and Winter? Maybe this fall will bring another bundle of joy to our family, maybe not. God may have other plans for us, who know.

Phone Trouble!

Hi all!
Well it dawned on me that we haven't had a phone call since we got back from Missouri this weekend. We get most of our calls on our cell phones so the home phone is mostly for phone book and business purposes. However when I went to check caller id it said we hadn't had a call since the 15th! Ouch! That means that when anyone called they got 1 ring and then the phone went scratchy and then dead. Well it turns out the phone jack is bad and anytime it rains it zaps the cord going into the phone. So there is probably a moisture issue going on to that we need to figure out. Anyways, we are back in business. I replaced the phone line and we are good to go!

Trip to Missouri

We are back from Missouri! Didn't know I was gone? Guess that means you need to call or email more often to see what we are up to. Hehee...anyway, we went down to MO. because the hubby has vacation time he needs to use up before the end of the year and we wanted Larken to spend some time with Grandma Mimi and Grandpa and have a 2nd little birthday party for her. She had fun, she loves her grandparents! We didn't really get to do much while we were there. We were supposed to have left on Sunday but because of the "Flash Flood" warnings and the continuous down-pour of rain we decided to head out Monday instead. Well that cut our visit short! We didn't even make it to the mall! Can you believe it? I'm not really a shopper anyway. I started to hate shopping when I gained weight and well since I am at my heaviest that I have ever been, lets just say frumpy isn't a current in-style!
Well I'm off to bed, I will post more later. I received an email about a rummage sale that is going to have a retired Stampin Up! demos supplies in it and well I want to stock up on some items!

Toddler Beds...

Well, we finally got Larken into her toddler bed but we had to take the crib out of the room to do it. So even though we are still trying to have another child the crib I guess has to go into storage because with it up we couldn't keep Larken out of it. I now know why they say baby steps. The next baby step is to get rid of the nite, nite binkey! I didn't want to do it all at once. We have been doing pretty well with potty training until she pooped in the potty and now she won't go near the potty chair. I just have to keep telling myself baby steps.
Onto other topics...I need money and we are out of space so I am going to start putting stuff on Ebay! I have at least 20 dress with tags that I never wore because well I gained weight and never lost it again. So stay posted and I will let you know all of the goodies you can get of mine!

Dinner with Friends

It has been ages since I have seen my bestest friend Sherise. We finally connected tonite and had a lovely dinner at Logan's Steakhouse. I'm not much of a talker when I'm eating, step away from the bread (just kiddin)....heheehehe. I invited her back to my house and we talked and had leftover cupcakes from my daughters 2nd birthday party. It is so nice to be able to connect with her and her daughter Lily. We both have been so busy with work, illness, travel...the list can go on and on. It was a beautiful crisp fall night. We both love fall and winter. I guess thats why God brought us together as friends because we do have alot in common but then we don't have everything in common, or it could have been our husbands were best friends. I do miss not being able to go to church with her and her husband and Larken really misses being able to spend time with Lily (her daughter). I just pray that gas prices keep going down and we can attend church with them soon. I really wanted to do the Bible study that they have coming up but there is no way that I could afford the gas. But anyway, my new blog is almost ready. I hope to have it up and running in the next few days. Keep your finger crossed for me.

Wow, time sure flies when you have way to much to do. My husband and I have been actively trying to conceive our 2nd child which is turning out to be harder the second time than it was the first time. I don't know if that is normal or not but it sure if fun trying. I didn't really get to nest with my first child so I am currently in the nesting mode now. Several factors have contributed but one of the biggest is my cat. She and the dogs are not getting along! They got into another fight the other night and she sprayed all over the house. I mean it was everywhere! I have tried bleach, lemons, windex, dish soap and everything in between and the smell is still here. I washed down the walls, the floor, washed all linens, the dogs and the smell will not go away. Anyway that got me to cleaning, tomorrow I re-arrange my kitchen cabinets and then I am going to see if I can get my washing machine to face the other direction so I have more room in the utility room. I know, I'm crazy! I need to finish removing wallpaper in the kitchen so I can get it painted...I started and never finished and it has been like that for at least 2+ years. My daughter is turning 2 in a couple of days. I am dreading going to her Dr's apt. because every time we go in we end up in the hospital for more tests. She is small and doesn't weigh much but she is tall. I was like that until the 3rd grade and then I went through excruciating growing pains. I hope she doesn't have to go through that as well. Anyway, back to decorating and nesting. I'm painting the livingroom/diningroom/hallway a lovely shade of brown and the bathroom will be a lovely shade of vanilla latte and the kitchen is going to be the shade of a caramel machiatto. Can you tell I love my Starbucks?

Only 4 months till Christmas...

Ok,

As of today only 4 months until Christmas! Yay! I am tired of the heat and I cannot wait for the snow. I can't believe it is August, time sure flies when you have too much to do.

I decided on a whim, ok not really a whim because I have been wanting to do it for some time and am just now getting around to finishing it. But anyway I've decided to paint the entire house. Yep, I want to paint my bedroom, Craft room and Livingroom/Diningroom and Hallway oh and kitchen and Bathroom. Why you ask? Because the paint I have on the walls currently does not match my Christmas Decorations. You may be saying to yourself this lady is crazy but in my defense when I painted the 3rd time I chose a color called Polenta which pretty much is yellow. It makes your skin look weird and makes the colors in the room just look bad. So, I am going neutral and going with a lovely brown toned shade.

I am still working on the new Blog for my Stampin Up! business, as soon as it is up and ready I will post the link here.

Wow! What a year!

It has been a whirlwind of activity here at the Peck household. With my bronchitis, my grandpa's failing heart and trips to see the in-laws it has been non-stop. My Stampin Up! business is kinda dead in the water right now. But keep checking back frequently for the new upcoming catalog and new Blog address for my Stampin Up! business. You can visit my website at www.sunshine.stampinup.net for updates and such. There is alot going on with Stampin Up! and it is so exciting and I can't wait to share it with you.
On a personal note...we are at capacity here at the Peck household and I have started to weed out non-essentials. I was able to push my way through my craft room and can actually sit at the computer which is a good thing beings my laptop has yet again stopped working. Bad news is that everything I took out of the craft room is now scattered all over my living room. If any of you have ideas on how to declutter let me know. Most of you know my passion/addiction for Christmas. That's how the whole process started. I decided I wanted to make room for another Christmas tree this year and the only way I can fit another one in is too move stuff around. I usually put 3 in the livingroom but we got a really nice one on clearance last season and I want to fit it in too. My husband loves me for being so crazy! Christmas in July, as of today only 6 months until Christmas and 97 days, 23 hours, 15 minutes, and 38 seconds left until Halloween and at Midnite, the decorations start going up for Christmas! Yay!

Stomach Flu...

Have you ever just wanted to curl up in a ball and just die? Well, I have! My daughter and I have had the stomach flu since tuesday. How long does this stuff last? You can't get anything from the Dr. because it is viral. Not only that you are contaigious for up to 2 weeks after you think you are feeling better.

This is what I was saying as I ran franticly around WalMart looking for my daughters nite nite toy. She apparently threw (Lamby) out of the cart when I was looking for something and I didn't see her do it. Have you ever seen a mother running around the store with tears streaming down her face saying "Why God, why?" I have had such a bad couple of days and this just topped the cake! I looked everywhere and couldn't find Lamby. We have looked for a backup Lamby, but haven't been able to find one. The thought of trying to put her to bed without it just put me over the edge and I lost it! I went to Customer Service like 5 times hoping someone turned her in but nothing. Finally on my 6th visit a lovely employee had a guy check the parking lot and a lady check the grocery dept. she said she had children and knew what would happen with out the nite nite toy! Thank you JESUS! They found Lamby! Someone had put her on the shelf in the Juice eisle. Thank you, thank you, thank you is all I could say. I will have to write a nice letter to Walmart telling them that their employees went above and beyond the call of duty to help out a mother in distress. It's almost like they issued a code ADAM for Lamby. Great response time, now I know that if for some reason I lose Larken in the store that they will be on top of it.

Ooh my goodness today was beautiful, unfortunately my daughter is having sleeping issues once again and I was way too tired to enjoy it. I think she may have some more teeth coming in. The past couple of nights she will go to bed for about 2 hours and then she is up till about 5am. I look like death warmed over! I may have grandma watch her just so I can take a really long nap. I have soo much to do. I've decided to repaint the livingroom/diningroom and hallway a neutral color...beige. I also still have to rent a wallpaper steamer so I can finish removing the wallpaper in the kitchen and bathroom, I hate wallpaper!

Hey everyone! Today is my husbands and I 12 year dating anniversary. We used to go back to the place where we had our first date and have us a glass of green beer but I guess we are too old now and we go to Red Lobster to avoid crazy drunken college students. Yes we still celebrate our dating anniversary! Why you ask, well because he took to long to marry me and the dating anniversary is just as important as our Marriage anniversary. Call me crazy, you wouldn't be the first one.
Can I just say also that this time 12 years ago we didn't need coats to go out to the bars for our green beer. The weather was so nice, I know this because we spent a great deal of time in the parking lot at Perkins making out. I had no coat! Times have sure changed. I have a child now and maybe soon another one on the way. Only time will tell.
